Well the latest design tool www.airmagnet.com has been acquired by Fluke Networks. Last couple of years, www.airwave.com was purchased by Aruba Networks and also www.cognio.com by Cisco Systems. These companies continue to add value to their product lines by adding specialized management tools. In the case of www.airmagnet.com, they have been the defacto leader in WLAN management, at least from a field management pespective. From an enteprise perspective they have a very good tool chest of capabilities. Veriwave www.veriwave.com is a good complement and seems to developing deep enterprise testing and monitoring tools on an enterprise perspective also.
