It is that time of the year when everybody seems is going on vacation or holiday, as I got back from a few days. Tried to decompress, but well this is 2011. This is the second time (last year out of the country), where Integra Systems, Inc. will be presenting on two front and center topics. Thanks to Tim Gee for putting all of this together! Huge effort on his part..as this is major logistical challenge. The first presentation is a combination of discussions on the best practices related to IEC 80001 for an IDE and FDA 510k enteprise networked medical device testing process. Note IEC 80001 will mark its first year as a formal standard this coming September. Tom Boston (who we go back way back to the days as www.siemens.com and www.drager.com now he is at www.gtri.com and I will be presenting). Both of us have been down this road countless times before. Integra Systems, Inc. has actually worked with over five companies from product development, through the test and design, and most recently one where an FDA 510k approval was achieved in record time. After this conference, there will be an opportunity to sign up for a post conference workshop. Distributed Antenna Systems in hospitals: Best Practices, is a topic that continues to vex healthcare providers. Between legal mandates to support public safety frequencies within the hospital, and dealing with integrating networked medical device systems on enterprise networks, few hospitals have resolved their networking issues. Distributed antenna systems are often mentioned as a potential solution to all or some of these problems. In this workshop, David H. Hoglund, principal of Integra Systems, will instruct attendees on what technologies are available, what works and what does not, and how to best plan for, deploy and support distributed antenna systems in your enterprise.
