I would say for the first event of this kind that this was a resounding success.  Over two hundred connectivity, wireless, sensor, and DAS experts (as well as vendors and end users) convened on the grounds of the Harvard Medical School for two days on September 10 and 11th. It was just the right size of an event (the first time), to really stimulate great discussions surrounding the aforementioned topics, but also IEC 80001. While I truly look forward to HIMSS each and every year, HIMSS has just gotten perhaps too large to really tackle the issues hitting the industry day in and day out. It is this unique issue of wired and wireless connectivity that can go a long way to improving process, workflow, and ultimately decreasing risk in patient care.  However, more so if we looked to automate these traditional disconnected legacy processes; we would as  an industry perhaps make a huge difference in cost savings and potential patient outcomes. Thanks to TIm Gee and Satish for all of their hard work that made these two days what they were.
