Had a great demo today with the folks from www.veriwave.com . Every medical device manufacture that intends to embedd 802.11a/b/g should have this software/hardware platform to simulate loading and testing. This will/is for the first time that allows the medical device community to actually simulate a real-time environment with such applications as video, voice, data, etc, "without those devices", meaning this is truly a virtual sense. Very detailed nuances are available to tweak client radio needs at the MAC layer. It is hoped that the combination of the device companies get together and establish a standarized process for implementing SLA and QoS on an enterprise WLAN. Veriwave can make this happen as they have the right tools sets.
