The choice is very dependent on the goals of the enterprise. If you can afford a lareger number of APs and a denser deployment, then 5GHz is obviously the way to go because you have many more channels and there are less interference issues. Othewise 2.4Gh is used. Note, it is not easy to find cheap 5GHz clients these days.
