Congragulations to www.gtri.com for winning this award from Cisco Systems!

Integra Systems and previous ANS; now a part of www.gtri.com have been involved for over many years(about 10 plus), driving toward the right technical and business model for both wired and wireless in healthcare. Some of our “firsts” include:

– First design, testing, and implementations of a converged wired/wireless network for real-time patient monitoring (around 2005).

– First testing with Cisco WLAN with a passive DAS (Distributed Antenna System). This demonstrated that while marketing claims otherwise; it simply made more technical and financial sense to keep the WLAN “off the DAS”. Discrete WI-Fi, discrete DAS.

– First testing for plannned FDA510k approval for a WLAN enabled infusion device using www.veriwave.com.

Global Technology Resources, Inc. Wins Cisco Healthcare Partner of the Year for Public Sector
GTRI Named “Healthcare Partner of the Year for Public Sector” by Cisco Systems at Cisco Partner Summit 2011
Denver, CO, March 7, 2011 – Global Technology Resources, Inc. (GTRI), a technology integrator headquartered in Denver, announced today that it is the recipient of a Cisco Partner Summit award for Healthcare. GTRI received the “Healthcare Partner of the Year for Public Sector” award. GTRI was in attendance when Cisco unveiled the winners March 1st at its annual channel partner conference in New Orleans.
“Cisco works diligently with all of its channel partners, and it is an honor to announce GTRI as a Cisco Partner Summit regional award recipient,” said Jim Sherriff, senior vice president, U.S. and Canada Partner Organization at Cisco. “The Federal healthcare award presented to GTRI recognizes its performance and expertise as a Cisco channel partner in 2010.”
“GTRI is excited that we have dedicated a business unit to such an exciting vertical market. Although we have been working with hospitals, medical device companies and clinical applications for over a decade, we felt this was the right time to make the financial commitment to take our practice to the next level. Cisco is a vital partner to our company’s ecosystem and it is an honor to receive their recognition in such a highly competitive landscape,” said Charlie Franco, Director of Healthcare Solutions at GTRI. “The convergence of historically silo-based medical applications onto the enterprise network is creating a challenge for both IT and clinical staff alike. GTRI’s value proposition is unique in its ability to provide integration solutions that address these challenges from an unbiased, holistic approach”.
“GTRI takes pride in our Cisco expertise,” said Greg Byles, CEO at GTRI. “Our healthcare award demonstrates our ability to bring together capabilities and solutions to add significant value for our customers in an industry that is required to meet very strict guidelines.”
GTRI is a proud member of the RelevantCARE consortium, which unites industry-leading healthcare information technology solutions providers. This membership and GTRI’s GlobalACE platform has helped to differentiate GTRI from its competitors in the healthcare vertical market. GlobalACE leverages the power of Cisco’s Unified Application Environment (CUAE) to improve communication enabled business processes. GlobalACE allows healthcare organizations to communicate instantly with all staff members, document voice calls with a push of a button, eliminate the use of multiple devices, customize applications to meet specific needs, and more.
GTRI also was named “Collaboration Partner of the Year for Public Sector,” “Strategic Service Partner of the Year for Civilian Region,” and “Outstanding Customer Solutions Partner of the Year for the West Region.” Cisco Partner Summit awards are presented at three levels: regional, theater and global. Cisco Partner Summit U.S. and Canada regional awards reflect a partner’s performance in a given geographic region of the United States or Canada.
