In the space of DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), all remote units in the IDF have deployed active electronics or in the case of passive components an area of ingress and hazards if the IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) is not secure. This means someone could come in and "cut" the cable, disconnect coaxial, etc. This would cause vital mission critical communications to cease. SOLiD from the DAS space it seems is the only company to provide NEMA4 rated remote units. See attached the definition of NEMA4
