In my career, I have always seen the majority of medical equipment in this case ultrasound machines as stand alone devices. Expensive stand alone devices be that…but not as expensive as a CT scanner or a MRI.I am just wondering about the value of the following: Monitor certain variables (from a service stand point), then send this via broadband to the cloud then integrate this into specific analytics from and to instant notifications to the local service team, sales, etc.Think of M2M (machine to machine), meeting the social media.This truly what I see as proactive real time maintenance combined with data analytics. Would this have value? I really think so…feedback is welcome.
