Very good day at WaveForum. Had keep meetings with www.oracle.com, www.digi.com, and www.telit.com….besides my own presentation in the afternoon. What impresssed me most was the Java Virtualized Machine from Oracle. For the first time each medical device could have it’s own essentially virtual HL7 gateway that even could be leveraged from a SOC (system on a chip). Much more later…in several follow on blogs; but this drastically simplies development and lowers cost. This can be done via cellular and/or WLAN. They have been working at length with Continua.
