Once again Integra Systems, Inc. is presenting at this event to include a workshop at the end. It is being held on November 1-2, 2012 at the Josepha B. Martin Conference School at Harvard Medical School – Boston, MA. Every year this gets better and better. The cross section of presenters will lead to some very lively discussions. The focus of the presentation by Integra Systems, Inc. will be surrounding the selection of, and testing of an embedded radio strategy for medical devices. For many years I have seen the medical device market and (other companies), go down the wireless path of integration design and get stuck in one way or the other. There is a lot to this in terms of design, selection, testing, and deployment. Just because it is WiFi certified and complies with 802.11i and 802.11e, does not mean this is the holy grail! We will be posting more and more blogs leading up this event. Thanks Tim for orchestrating this.

You said “Just because it is WiFi certified and complies with 802.11i and 802.11e, does not mean this is the holy grail!”
So true, every time I hear someone say something along that line, I’m reminded of the ‘guru’ in ‘Cosmik Debris’.
Thank you for posting this. I think healthcare devices are great tools to help save many people lives. The PACs system at ww1.novarad.net can actually do that too.
