Late last week, I had the opportunity to visit again www.digi.com. (Visited before in 2010). While I have always been impressed with this companies hardware; what I really see (and convinced) is that they have a total end to end business model. With i-Digi you can have the complete management platform whereby you do not need www.axeda.com. i-Digi will integrate directly into www.jaspersoft.com. Had time to visit the company that Digi purchased: www.spectrumdsi.com…a first rate design house. I consider Digi something like www.apple.com, whereby the total control of the hardware, software and M2M cloud management…but open API(s). A lot of folks still are concerned about the whole security aspect of M2M (see attached addresses this), however this a non-event in my opinion. Think of all the credit and debit card transactions that are done daily.
