The recent announcement today June 04 lends credence to that all organizations need to have policies and procedures in place and security prevention constantly updated. While Integra Systems, Inc. is working with BluStor to develop the next generation intelligent “computer on a credit card”, with multiple levels of biometric and internal and external security measures, there are basic things that can be done to ensure a level of security that keeps things at bay..for now. Some most out there include what I heard from the military…squirt super glue into the USB inputs on laptops! This way no thumb drives could ever be used. Somewhat interesting to say the least..but that is one wall of defense.
