Integra Systems, Inc. has been in and around the RTLS/RFID space for over fifteen plus years. This goes back to the days even before Wi-Fi was around. We have evaluated many technology offerings, especially in the area of value to the healthcare domain. Regarding this evaluation, it has spanned the areas of WLAN, UWB, Zigbee, and proprietary RF. We have also authored several white papers for companies. With the advent of BTLE, this has changed the game and especially the convergence of WLAN and BTLE. When IOS and Android adopted BTLE, this set into motion a commoditization of adoption with BTLE emerging as the preferred PAN, but also to be leveraged for RTLS in a cost effective way.
