With the advent of 802.11n finally being approved on September 11, customers no longer have to worry about investing in 802.11n with the fear of being having to trade out AP(s). Then can finally reap the benefits of MIMO and up to 300 mps of bandwidth.  Aruba Networks has somewhat shattered the price barrier for market entrance by providing enterprise in these case healthcare customers with enterprise AP(s), at so called consumer prices. Now that healthcare budgets can somewhat be tight, this has huge implications to right size the wired network (reduce port counts), and make the move to 802.11n.

On 23 September 2009, Aruba Network's announced the delivery of the the Aruba A-105 AP.  The A-105 delivers best in clase enterprise grade 802.11n features and functionality at a fraction of the cost of competitive products. Value priced at just $695. (US List), the AP-105 will accelerate adoptions of 802.11n by offering enterprise grade security, high throughput, streaming video support and other key features previousl available only in more expensive devices.  The Aruba AP-105 packs a wide range of advanced features into a compact package. Somewhat perfect for mounting perhaps on the ceiling and not having to mount above like traditional AP(s). The size is small, 5.2"x5.3"x1.8", and weighs around 10.56 ounces.  Key features include dual radio, 2×2 MIMO designs delivers up to 300 Mbps per radio, flexible antenna installations, 802.2af PoE, one AP for many applications, mesh, IDS, and remote access, TPM (Trusted Platform Module), and ARM (Adaptive Radio Management).
