It is with great gratification that my content is reaching out and stimulating the technical reader in the marketplace.  I even have found some peole like the direct RSS feed! This blog is intended to educate and help those become better attuned and informed regarding wireless solutions both from a broadband and WLAN perspective across the medical connectivity landscape. I know that there is a tremendous amount of information out there, however I have tried to keep this relevant to my over 30 years in the medical device and wireless space.   Have not had time to do a download from HIMSS, but will try to recap shortly.  Will be hosting a web event with www.veriwave.com in the next couple of weeks, as well as posting a technical outline of considerations regarding 802.11n (MIMO), over a DAS (Distributed Antenna System). The WLAN and DAS convergence is somewhat at an impass with 802.11n. However, it is questionable if any medical devices will actually incorporate 802.11n. Just as everybody chases the next technology from the infrastructure side, it somewhat boils down to how many mobile devices will actually use either 802.11n and/or 4G technologies today and what actually is the ROI related to CAPEX and OPEX?
