” As the wireless mobility continum continues to unfold in healthcare; it is becoming a requirement that disparate medical devices from different companies share the over arching wireless LAN infrastructure. In addition; the voice and data requirements of the the broadband cellular and PCS infrastructure will demand a neutral host environment whereby flexibility is given to the end enterprise user regardless of the carrier service model. The following will explore how to test and design a WLAN infrastructure to support the quality of service requirement needed for a life critical medical WLAN network. In concert; design requirements will be set forth that will ensure how both broadband and public safety requirements are met for the mobile voice and data marketplace.”
