I am currently at the www.axeda.com conference in Boston MA this week. This marketplace is huge and I see where this finally will bring the convergence of healthcare. Not so much from a telemedicine perspective, (that to) but also the remote services management of high cost medical equipment and services. All the major carriers are here, integrators, and pretty much the “whos who” of medical device companies. Think of this as the next internet explosion of connected smart devices. It is not the “connectivity” that is driving this (cool technology), but real business value of demonstrated CAPEX and OPEX savings. Integra Systems is developing the end to end services model for M to M in the medical device connectivity and to include the BAS space. I will be posting more of the conference material in the days ahead.
